
Man accused of repeatedly stealing from Mount Olive Twp. Lowe’s
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – An Essex County man has ben charged for allegedly stealing from the Mount Olive Township Lowe’s on numerous occasions.
On Dec. 14, an officer spoke to an asset prevention employee from Lowe’s Home Improvement in Flanders and the asset prevention employee advised the officer, that on five occasions between Oct. 28 and Dec. 5, he observed the same man enter the store with a shopping cart and pick up expensive tools or equipment, police said.
The man would walk out of the store, showing a receipt but not stopping at the purchase point. Upon further investigation, the loss prevention employee determined that none of the items were purchased, police said.
Using a series of investigative tools, and with the assistance of Union Police Department, it was determined that the suspect, who was identified as Adeja K. Lendor,39 of Newark, was in Mount Olive Township and Roxbury Township on the dates the suspected shoplifting occurred, police said.
Mount Olive Township Police Detective contacted Lendor who responded to the police station for further investigation.
Lendor was then arrested and charged with shoplifting. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
