Man accused of stealing employee’s iPhone from Hackettstown Applebee’s

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Hackettstown man is accused of stealing an employee’s iPhone from Hackettstown Applebee’s early Saturday morning.

On November 26, at around 12:08 a.m., police responded to Applebee’s Grill and Bar, located at 225 Mountain Ave, in reference in a man that stole an employee’s iPhone off a table, police said.

Officers arrived on location and located the suspect, who was identified as Eric Zeier, 55, of Hackettstown.

Through an investigation it was determined that Zeier took the iPhone and concealed it on his person, police said.

Zeier was charged with fourth-degree theft by unlawful taking and was released pending a court appearance.
