Man accused of writing bad check to Warren County business
INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Sussex County man was charged after he allegedly wrote a back check, according to police.
The bad check was written to an Independence Township business in the amount of over $6,000 for work performed. The check was written and signed Michael Liska, 58, of Hopatcong Borough, police said.
Through subpoenas of bank records, it was revealed that Liska at no time had the funds in his account to cover the check he had written, police said.
Liska was charged on Oct. 12 for bad checks and released pending a court appearance, police said.
