Man allegedly made threats with hatchet in Washington Borough

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man was arrested last month after he allegedly made threats with a hatchet, police said Friday.

On May 17, at 12:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of a threat with a hatchet at a residence in the 40 block of Youmans Ave in Washington Borough, police said.

Upon the officer’s arrival and subsequent investigation, the 34-year-old Washington man was arrested without incident, police said.

He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, unlawful possession of a hatchet, and terroristic threat. He was processed and and then lodged in the Warren County Jail, police said.
