Man arrested after brandishing firearm during road rage incident in Hunterdon County

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A New York man is facing weapons charges after allegedly brandishing a firearm at a man during a road rage incident in Readington Township earlier this month, police said.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, police received a 911 call from a motorist in reference to a road rage incident. The victim indicated that the aggressor of the road rage incident brandished a firearm at him while traveling on Route 22 west in Whitehouse Station, police said.

The suspect’s vehicle was stopped on Route 22 west in Clinton Township and the driver, who was identified as Ibrahim Alkhalaf of Dix Hill, was found to be in possession of the firearm utilized during the incident, police said.

Alkhalaf was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and assault by physical menace. he was lodged at the Warren County Jail pending a future court appearance.
