Man arrested following physical altercation in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Hackettstown man is facing several charges following a physical altercation Saturday night in Hackettstown, police said.

On October 22, at around 10:41 p.m., police responded to the area of Main Street and Grand Ave for a report of a physical dispute involving 5 individuals, police said.

Upon arrival, Luis Fernando Escoto-Ramos, 21, last known address of Hackettstown had left the scene and was then located in an alleyway along Main Street, police said.

Through a police investigation, it was determined that Escoto-Ramos was reportedly following the victim and the victim’s friends. The victim told Escoto-Ramos to go away and he then went towards a female. A physical altercation occurred and the victim suffered minor injuries, police said.

Escoto-Ramos had a $1,500 Hackettstown Municipal Court criminal warrant for his arrest, police said.

Escoto-Ramos was charged with disorderly conduct, engage in fighting, and disturbing the peace. He was then lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance, police said.
