
Man arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting, robbing 19-year-old at Morris County hotel
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – A Mercer County man has been accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a 19-year-old at a Morris County hotel in late December, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll announced Sunday.
Earl L. Kelly, 36, of Hamilton has been charged with four counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, first-degree robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, fourth-degree aggravated assault, and third-degree criminal restraint, Carroll said.
On December 24, 2021, Kelly sexually assaulted and robbed the 19-year-old victim while armed with a handgun at the Holiday Inn in Parsippany, Carroll said.
Kelly was arrested by members of the Edison Police Department on January 7 and was then lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility, Carroll said.
