Man arrested for breaking into Morris County home

LINCOLN PARK BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Lincoln Park Borough home last week, police said.

On July 5, at around 5:40 p.m., police responded to a residence on George Cobb Lane for a report of suspicious male that entered a residence, police said.

Upon patrol arrival, police searched for the suspect and Bazyt M. Bergus Jr., 39, of Lincoln Park Borough was eventually located hiding in a garage loft and was taken into police custody. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of stolen property from the same residence, police said.

Bergus was charged with burglary, theft and criminal trespass. He was then lodged into the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance, police said.
