Man arrested for DWI at McDonald’s drive-thru in Warren County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A  man is facing driving while intoxicated and drug charges after police responded to a report of a suspected drunk driver at the drive-thru of a Warren County McDonald’s.

On Nov. 5, at around 8:51 p.m., police responded to McDonald’s, located at 461 Route 31, in Washington Township for a report of a suspected drunk driver in the McDonald’s drive-thru, police said.

Through a police investigation, Walter Bartlett, 45, of Washington, NJ, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia,. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, police said.

Bartlett was released pending a court appearance.
