Man arrested for DWI following Warren County crash
LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) -A Hudson County man was arrested for driving while under the influence following a crash Thursday night in Lopatcong Township.
On Feb. 25, at around 8:39 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident where a vehicle rear-ended another on Route 22 east near the Phillipsburg Mall, police said.
While investigating the crash, officers believed Raphael M. Caetano, 24. of Harrison was allegedly under the influence of illicit drugs, police said.
Caetano failed several field sobriety tests on scene, and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. He was later evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert, who determined that he was under the influence of depressants at the time of the crash, police said.
Caetano was issued traffic summonses for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. He was released to a family member pending a court appearance, police said.
