Man arrested on burglary, stalking charges in Independence Township

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man is facing several charges including burglary and stalking in Independence Township.

On June 18, township officers responded to a residence in the Shakespeare estates for a reported breaking and entering. Once on location, officers gathered information about the person which the family found inside the home, police said.

Within 24 hours, John Hargreaves, 32, of Belvidere NJ was in custody and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking and harassment. He was lodged in the Warren County Jail pending his first court appearance, police said.
