Man arrested on warrants resists arrest

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 37-year-old Washington Township man has been charged with resisting arrest in Washington Township.

On Aug. 26, at around 2:23 p.m., township officers responded to a residence in the first block of East Washington Ave for a dispute, police said.

Upon the officer’s arrival and subsequent investigation, Michael Fleming was found to have outstanding warrants totaling $1000.00 out of Clinton Township. When the officers went to arrest Fleming for the outstanding warrants, he allegedly resisted and struggled with the officers, police said.

Fleming was arrested without further incident and charged with resisting arrest. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
