
Man charged in Raritan Twp. gas station armed robbery
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Hunterdon County man has been charged in connection to an armed robbery that occurred on June 11 in Raritan Township, according to acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael Williams.
Brandon C. Pyzik, 27, of Flemington was charged on Thursday, June 20 and was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree theft, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree aggravated assault.
On June 11 at around 7:02 p.m., officers responded to Triton Gas Station, located at the intersection of Route 31 and Bartles Corner Road, for a report of a robbery, Williams said.
When officers arrived, they learned that an unknown man approached the gas attendant and displayed a knife. While holding the knife on the attendant the suspect reached into the attendant’s pocket and removed cash. The suspect fled on foot, Williams said.
The investigation was conducted by detectives for the Raritan Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit.
