Man charged obstruction, resisting arrest in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing charges including obstruction and resisting arrest in Denville Township.

On Nov. 25, at around 12:03 a.m., police responded to the Denville Train Station on Estling Lake Road for a report of an intoxicated male peering into and possibly attempting to gain entry into several parked cars, police said.

Upon arrival, the suspect was located and detained by officers. However, the suspect refused to cooperate with the officers and ultimately became aggressive, police said.

The suspect, who was ultimately identified as Michael Godoy, 32, of Morristown, was arrested for obstruction of the administration of law and resisting arrest, police said.

Godoy was then lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance, police said.
