Man charged with DWI after being found unresponsive in car

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Sussex County man is facing several charges including driving while intoxicated after he was allegedly found unresponsive in a vehicle, police said in a new release on Monday.

On Sept. 1, at 4:04 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Corey Reed Drive and Allen Road near the Cinepolis for the report of an unresponsive man in a vehicle, police said.

The vehicle was in drive and the man, who was identified as William E. Pruden of Stanhope, was determined to be heavily intoxicated, police said.

Pruden was transported to the hospital where blood was drawn to determine his blood alcohol content, police said.

Pruden was charged with DWI, driving while suspended, reckless driving, careless driving, obstructing traffic and three equipment violations.

Pruden was released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
