Man charged with DWI following crash in Sussex County

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge last week following a crash in Byram Township.

On March 2, police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on North Shore Road. When officers arrived, they spoke to the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Frank Rasso 3rd of Byram Township, and he appeared to be intoxicated, police said.

Rasso performed several field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was then arrested and transported to police headquarters where he consented to two breath tests and failed, police said.

Rasso was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, and careless driving. He was released to a family member pending a court appearance, police said.
