Man charged with DWI following single-vehicle crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing charges including driving while intoxicated Saturday following a single-vehicle crash in Denville Township.

The crash happened on October 1 in the area of Diamond Spring Road and Morris Avenue, police said.

Once police arrived on scene, the involved vehicle was no longer on scene, but a license plate was located in the area of where the crash occurred. The vehicle and driver, who was identified as Robert Danbury, 41, of Denville Township, were subsequently located nearby, police said.

A further police investigation revealed that Danbury was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DWI, police said.

Danbury was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, failure to report an accident, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane. He was released to a sober adult pending a court appearance, police said.
