Man charged with DWI following single-vehicle crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing charges including driving while intoxicated Tuesday following a single-vehicle crash in Denville Township.

The crash happened on June 6, at 7:38 p.m., at the intersection of East Main Street and Bloomfield Avenue, police said.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers observed that a Gray Ram pickup truck had struck a curb and grazed a telephone pole, which ultimately disabled the vehicle, police said.

It was determined that the driver, who was identified as Ryan P. Wright, 45, of Boonton, was allegedly driving while under the influence, police said.

Wright was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, consumption of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was released to an adult pending a court appearance.
