Man charged with DWI, leaving the scene following motorcycle crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County Man is facing several charges including DWI, and leaving the scene following a motorcycle crash in Denville Township, according to police.

On May 29, at around 7:22 p.m., police responded to a report of a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Entrance Way and Diamond Spring Road. However, the involved motorcyclist fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival, police said.

A subsequent police investigation was able to identify the motorcyclist as Alan Tecchio, 56, of Denville Township and he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol during the time of the crash, police said.

Tecchio was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident. He was then released pending a court appearance, police said.
