Man charged with possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia in Denville Township

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing drug charges in Denville Township, according to police.

On Jan. 6, police conducted a wellness check at the 7-Eleven, located on West Main St, after observing a man slumped over in the driver seat of a parked vehicle, police said.

While officers were speaking to the occupant, who was identified as  Steven Moretto, 29, of Lincoln Park Borough, the officers allegedly observed signs of CDS use inside the vehicle, police said.

An investigation, yielded CDS and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Moretto was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
