Man charged with possession of meth in Lopatcong Twp.

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man was charged after officers say they found methamphetamine on him on Friday.

On May 24 at around 1:13 a.m., officers located a man walking in the area of 400 S. 1st St and officers identified him as George A. Dehart, 34, of Phillipsburg. Based on their investigation, officers believed Dehart had been involved in criminal activity, police said.

Dehart was found to be in possession several grams of Methamphetamine and also had an active traffic warrant for his arrest out of Greenwich Municipal Court, police said.

Dehart was charged with possession of a schedule II drug and was later released pending a Warren County Superior Court appearance. He was also released on the Greenwich Municipal Court traffic warrant pending a court appearance.
