Man charged with sexual assault in Hunterdon County

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – A Somerset County man has been arrested on sexual assault charges, according to Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams.

Sean M. Fuerstenberger, 48, of Somerset, NJ, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently detained at the Warren County Jail, Williams said.

The charges stem from alleged offenses committed when the victim was under the age of 13 and lived in Hunterdon County, Williams said.

The investigation was conducted by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit.
