Man facing drug, DWI charges following traffic stop in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing several charges including driving while intoxicated and drug possession following a traffic stop Friday in Denville Township, according to police.

On Feb. 17, police stopped a vehicle on Route 10 East for a speeding violation, police said.

While officers were speaking to the driver, who was identified as Eric M. Pearlman, 51, of Madison Borough, the officers discovered he was allegedly intoxicated. After a further investigation, it was determined that he was in possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Pearlman was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, and speeding. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
