Man gets probation for stealing used car batteries from Walmart

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Camden County man was sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to theft, the prosecutor’s office said in a news release Thursday.

Farad M. Carver, 25, of Lindenwold was sentenced by the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on Aug. 28.

Carver admitted to stealing used car batteries from the Walmart in Hampton Township.

Carver was sentenced to two years probation, must perform 25 hours of community service, pay mandatory fines, and fees.

Carver pled guilty on June 7 to third-degree theft.
