Man injured by falling tree in Sussex County

WANTAGE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A man was flown to the hospital Monday afternoon after being injured by a falling tree, New Jersey State Police Sergeant Lawrence Peele said.

According to Peele, at around 2:34 p.m., a 70-year-old male was injured by a falling tree at a residence on Beaver Run Road in Wantage Township.

He was alert and conscious when he was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center for precautionary reasons, Peele said.
