Man pleads guilty to heroin possession in Sussex County
NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Bergen County man has entered a guilty plea to possession of heroin, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.
Chad Hines, 42, of Little Ferry pled guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton on March 2, Koch said.
According to Koch, Hines admitted to possessing heroin on his person and in his vehicle on May 6, 2020 in Vernon Township.
Hines is scheduled to be sentenced on May 9, 2022 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., Koch said.
Hines was represented by Daniel G. Marchese, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
