Man pleads guilty to operating motor vehicle during license suspension, DWI in Sussex County

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A man has entered a guilty plea to operating a motor vehicle during license suspension, and driving while intoxicated, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.

Zilvinas Bitinaitis pled guilty to fourth-degree operating a motor vehicle during license suspension, and driving while intoxicated before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Court in Newton on May 20, Koch said.

According to Koch, in pleading guilty, Bitinaitis admitted to knowingly operating a motor vehicle in Byram Township on November 15, 2021 during a period of license suspension, while having been suspended for a second or subsequent violation of driving while intoxicated.

Bitinaitis is scheduled to be sentenced on July 21 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., Koch said.

Bitinaitis was represented by Daniel Agatino, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Sally Anne Monkemeier.
