Woman pleads guilty to possession of cocaine, bail jumping in Sussex County

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Passaic County woman has entered a guilty plea to possession of cocaine and bail jumping, according to Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart.

Jamie O’Dea, 34, of Paterson pled guilty on Oct. 6 to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and third-degree bail jumping before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, Taggart said.

O’Dea admitted to driving while being in possession of cocaine and admitted to failing to appear for court on multiple occasions, Taggart said.

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 1.

O’Dea was represented by Matthew W. Young, Esq. and the State was represented by Special Deputy Attorney General and Acting Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
