Man pleads guilty to theft in Sussex County

NEWTON,  NJ (Sussex County) – A New York man has entered a guilty plea to theft, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.

Daniel Cicalese, 56, of Sparrow Bush pled guilty to fourth-degree theft before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 10, Koch said.

According to Koch, in pleading guilty, Cicalese admitted to taking property of another in Wantage Township on November 19, 2021.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 24.

The case was investigated by Tpr. A. Pall of the New Jersey State Police. Cicalese was represented by Matthew Young, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
