Man sentenced for criminal trespass in Sussex County

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A man was sentenced for criminal trespass in Montague Township, according to Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart.

Thomas B. Broderick, 33, was sentenced on Feb. 24 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, Taggart said.

Broderick was sentenced to time served with jail credit for two days and must pay mandatory fees, Taggart said.

Broderick pled guilty on Jan. 4, to fourth-degree criminal trespass. He admitted to unlawfully entering a dwelling and causing damage on July 25, 2018 in Montague Township, Taggart said.

Broderick was represented by Matthew Young, Esq., and the State was represented by Special Deputy Attorney General and Acting Assistant Prosecutor Laura Nazzaro.
