Man struck by NJ Transit train in Dover

DOVER, NJ (Morris County) – A man was injured after being struck by a NJ Transit train in Dover Friday night.

The unidentified man was hit by a Montclair-Boonton line train at about 6:07 p.m., according to a NJ Transit spokesperson.

The man was transported to Morristown Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The name of the individual was not released.

There were 18 people aboard train No. 1079, which left Hoboken at 5:12 p.m. and was due in Mount Olive Township at 6:55 p.m. No one on the train was injured.

NJ Transit police are investigating the incident.
