
Man who placed hidden bathroom camera in a Sussex County home pleads guilty
NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County man has entered a guilty plea to endangering the welfare of a child and invasion of privacy charges, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Joseph J. Krenicky, 48, of Glenwood, pled guilty to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and third-degree invasion of privacy before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley Jr., J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 21.
Krenicky was hired as an electrician to perform work on the victims’ property. During the course of the work, he allegedly secreted a spy-camera disguised as a portable power bank in the bathroom of the residence without the victims’ permission or knowledge.
The spy camera captured and recorded videos of the victims in various states of undress, including one victim who was under the age of 18.
Sentencing is currently scheduled for July 26, 2019.
