Mansfield Township Police welcome new officer

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Mansfield Township Police Department has a new police officer.

Officer Michael McDonald was sworn in this week.

Officer McDonald came to Mansfield Township from Stone Harbor Police Department. He will begin his Field Training Program this week, police said.

Field Training Officers are seasoned field trainers that have gone through a selection process and specialized school to assist them in training our new Officers. The FTO’s will prepare Officers in Training to perform the essential duties of a police officer by emphasizing community engagement, professionalism, trust and providing customer service that exceeds expectation while seeking continuous opportunities to improve, police said.

“We know he will be a phenomenal addition to Mansfield Township Police Department,” police said.
