Mega Millions ticket worth $20K sold in Morris County

LINCOLN PARK, NJ (Morris County) – There were two third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for the Tuesday, Aug. 27 drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $20,000, according to New Jersey Lottery acting executive director James Carey.

  • The winning $20,000 ticket was sold at the Shoprite of Lincoln Park, located at 80 Beaver Brook Rd., in Lincoln Park.
  • The winning $10,000 ticket was sold at the Convenience Food Stop, located at 184 Rivervale Road, in Rivervale.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Aug. 27 drawing were: 08, 12, 23, 39 and 43. The Gold Mega Ball was 06, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.

In addition, 17 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Five of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,000. Moreover, 26,328 other New Jersey players took home $106,602 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400, Carey said.

The next drawing will be held Friday, Aug. 30 at 11:00 p.m.
