Morris County CrimeStoppers: $1K reward offered for information on sheep shooting

HARDING TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Morris County CrimeStoppers is offering a $1K reward for information into a sheep shooting that occurred in Harding Township.

On May 25, police responded to a report of dead livestock on Cherry Lane, which is located off of Dickson’s Mill Road. 

It was discovered that two sheep, which were on private property, had sustained gun shot wounds. One sheep was deceased, and one was seriously injured. The injured sheep was transported to a veterinarian and is currently doing well.

The suspect(s) trespassed onto private property and used a weapon to shoot the two sheep. The incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. on Ma 24 and 12:30 p.m. on May 25.

The investigation is being conducted by the Harding Township Police Humane Law Enforcement Officer, with assistance from the Morris County Sheriff’s Department.
