Morris County jury finds man guilty of criminal sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a child

MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – A jury has found Vinicio Orellana, 45, of Landing guilty on all charges related to sexual contacts and endangering the welfare of a child on Sept. 27, 2020, in the Flanders section of Mount Olive Township, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.

The jury returned a guilty verdict on Feb. 16 following a three-day trial. Orellana was found guilty of three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Carroll said.

Orellaa touched a 16-year-old female victim on her intimate parts and the incident was reported to the Mount Olive Police Department on Sept. 27, 2020, Carroll said.

Orellana is scheduled to be sentenced on March 24.
