
Morris County man accused of DWI, crashing with kids in car
DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man has been arrested and is accused of driving drunk and crashing in Denville Township with kids in the car, according to police
The single-vehicle crash happened on Sunday, January 29 on Route 10 westbound. While on scene, officers determined that multiple occupants were injured and required medical attention, police said.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the driver, who was identified as Edin Rodriguez, 24, of East Hanover Township, was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, police said.
Rodriguez was charged with 2 counts of assault by auto, 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, DWI with a minor in vehicle, open container of alcoholic beverage in vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, and use of handheld device.
Rodriguez was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.
