Morris County man arrested for possession of child pornography

DOVER, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man has been arrested in connection with possession of child sex abuse material (CSAM), according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.

Richard Ferrarie-Lofredo, 37, of Dover, has been charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child (possession of CSAM).

The investigation began with a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) referencing media files, allegedly depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors, Carroll said.

The media files were allegedly uploaded to Reddit, an internet-based social platform, by Ferrarie-Lofredo. It is further alleged that he possessed additional items of CSAM on an electronic device, Carroll said.

Ferrarie-Lofredo was arrested on Jan. 12 and following his arrest, he was released pursuant to the Criminal Justice Reform Act with pretrial release conditions that include monitoring and no internet usage, Carroll said.
