Morris County man charged after leaving 2 dogs in car on 90-degree day

CHESTER, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man were charged last month after he left his two dogs unattended inside a car in 90-degree weather, according to police.

On August 14, a Chester police officer responded to the Chester Springs Mall on the report of two dogs locked in a vehicle on a 90 degree day, police said.

The owner of the dogs, who was only identified an adult male from Mendham, was issued a summons for animal cruelty and released pending a court appearance, police said.
