Morris County Man charged with DWI, giving police false information

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man was charged Saturday night after police said he was driving while intoxicated and gave police false information during a motor  vehicle stop in Denville Township.

On May 13, at around 9:40 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle after observing the vehicle being operated with dark front window tinting and made an improper turn from Route 46 east onto West Main Street, police said.

During the course of the investigation, the driver, who was identified as Roger Ochoa, 55, of Succasunna, allegedly provided false information pertaining to his name and date of birth, police said.

Ochoa was determined to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, police said.

Ochoa was charged with driving while intoxicated, obstruction of the administration of law, reckless driving, careless driving, improper use of turn signal, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, circumventing an interlock device, driving while suspended, and obstruction of windshield for vision.

He was released pending a court appearance.
