Morris County man charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, drug paraphernalia

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing drug charges after he allegedly knocked down a mailbox in Denville Township, according to police.

On Jan. 4, at around 12:31 p.m., police received a 9-1-1 call for a male running down Franklin Road after knocking down a mailbox, police said.

Upon arrival of police, the man, who was later identified as Jose Luis Cardona-Ramirez, 27, from Dover, was found hiding at the end of a driveway of a residence on Franklin Road, police said.

After a short investigation, Cardona-Ramirez was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was then released pending a court appearance, police said.
