Morris County man pleads guilty to driving while suspended, DWI

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Morris County man has entered a guilty plea to operating a motor vehicle during license suspension, and driving while intoxicated, according to Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart.

Wagner Brown, 45, of Wharton Borough pled guilty to fourth-degree driving while suspended and a motor vehicle offense of driving while intoxicated on March 3 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, Taggart said.

Brown admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol while also driving during the suspension period of a second or subsequent DWI, Taggart said.

Brown is scheduled to be sentenced on April 28.

Brown was represented by Jason Steinberg, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
