Morris County Prosecutor’s Office swears in new assistant prosecutor

MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood announce the hiring of Mohamed Ahmed as Assistant Prosecutor for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Assistant Prosecutor Ahmed was officially sworn in by First Assistant Prosecutor Calderwood at the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday and will serve in the Appellate Unit of the Courts & Administration Division of the office.

Assistant Prosecutor Ahmed received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Montclair State University in 2018, and a Juris Doctorate from Pennsylvania State University, Penn State Law in May 2021, and was subsequently admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2021.  Prior to joining the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Assistant Prosecutor Ahmed served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Martin G. Cronin, J.S.C. at the Essex County Courthouse-Criminal Division, in Newark, NJ since August 2021.

“We are excited to have Assistant Prosecutor Ahmed join our team and anticipate that he will make positive contributions to enhance the performance of the Appellate Unit,” Carroll said.
