Morris County Prosecutor’s Office veteran staff member receives commendation

MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood, and Chief of Detectives Chris Kimker last week issued a commendation to Support Staff Member Gina Briskie, in recognition of her exceptional service provided to the office during her 32 year career, which began in 1990.

Briskie was commended for her job knowledge, quality of work, and her exceptional ability to multi-task and efficiently perform the multitude of time sensitive tasks required in her position.

Briskie is currently the sole support staff member serving in the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Specialized Crimes Division, which is comprised of the Professional Standards Unit, Insurance Fraud Unit, Financial Crimes Unit, and Arson/Environmental Crimes Unit.

“Gina Briskie has experienced many changes at the office throughout her career, in both personnel and operations. Gina’s dedicated career to the various units in the Specialized Crimes Division has provided a foundation of institutional knowledge that benefits all Division. Gina’s three decades of public service has demonstrated the highest standards of professionalism and commitment to the objectives of the MCPO. She is well qualified for this Official Commendation and we all salute her achievement,” Carroll said.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
