Morris School District’s Superintendent Nominated for 2019 Regional Superintendent of the Year for North Jersey

MENDHAM, NJ (Morris County) – The New Jersey Association of School Administrations named, Mackey Pendergrast, as the 2019 Regional Superintendent of the Year for North Jersey.

Mackey is a Mendham resident is currently the superintendent for Morris County School District, who was one of three regional winners to be recognized.

Dr. Richard Bozza, the Executive Director for the New Jersey Association of School Administrators, says Mackey went through a lot in order to be selected for Regional Superintendent.

“We ask them to tell us a lot of information about themselves, their education, administrative experience,” says Bozza.

Also, candidates have to answer a number of questions, write a few essays, and make a video presentation about themselves to show the association that they have what it takes.

“It is an exhausting process and Mackey stood out among his peers,” says Bozza.

This October, Mackey will also be honored at a fall workshop, in Atlantic City as the 2019 Regional Superintendent of the Year.

Hailing from a showbiz family, she met a prominent TV news anchor, while backstage at BB King’s Blues Club in New York City. She had the privilege of two college internships at Fox News Channel, and upon graduation was hired as a Production Assistant in the FNC newsroom.
