Mosquito spraying set for Monday in 7 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods in Denville Township, Chatham Borough, Pequannock Township, Parsippany-Troy Hills, Montville Township, and Roxbury Township Monday morning.

The mosquito spraying will go on from 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 27, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Denville: Mary Ave (Muriel Hepner Park).
  • Chatham Borough: Parrot Mill Road (Shephard Kollock Recreation Area).
  • Pequannock: Meade Place, West Parkway (The Glens), and Washington Street (Washington Street Park).
  • Parsippany: Reynolds Ave (Old Troy Park).
  • Montville: Rachel Gardens Apartments Rd, and Chapin Road.
  • Roxbury: Ajax Terrace (Sewer Treatment Plant and Patriots Path Vicinity)

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807 Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.

The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in Parsippany-Troy Hills, and Morristown Monday night.

The mosquito spraying will go on from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Parsippany: Teaneck Rd, Summit Rd, Pitman Rd, Quaker Rd, Ludlow Rd, Warren Dr, Oakridge Rd, Dunnellen Rd, Chesterfield Rd, Aldine Rd, Holmdel Rd, Fords Ct, Lakeshore Dr (From Halsey Rd to Georgene Ct), Moraine Rd, Tarn Dr, Drumlin Dr, Highview Rd, Foxcroft Rd, Birch Ln, Fox Hill Rd, Old Fox Hill Rd,  Barton Rd, Ivy Ln, Rainbow Trail, Upper Rainbow Trail, Willowcrest Rd, Long Rd, Maple Ln, Hillside Rd, Clairview Rd, Scenic Dr, Glenwood Rd, Cobb Rd. Overlook Terrace, Fox Lane, Oakland Ct, Highwood Dr, and Edwards Rd (Edwards Gardens).
  • Morristown: Clyde Potts Drive, Flagler St, and Manahan Village.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, EPA# 279-3539 Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
