Mosquito spraying set for Thursday in 3 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle to treat a section of woods in Rockaway, and Lincoln Park Borough Thursday morning.

The mosquito spraying will go on from 4:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on July 27, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Rockaway: Upper Hibernia Rd (Camp Lewis), and Rockwood Dr.
  • Lincoln Park: Robertson Way (Woodland Hills), and woodline area.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724.

The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in Montville Township Thursday night.

The mosquito spraying will go on from 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. on July 27, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Montville: Van Ripper Ave, Luckenbill Dr, John Henry Dr, Eckhardt Circle, Green Meadows Rd, Kramer Dr, S Franklin Ct, Windsor Dr, Garrity Terr, Rand Rd, Hamilton Pl, Stuart Ct, Birch Pl, Rutledge Rd, Sylvan Dr, Tudor Pl, Dogwood Cir, Woodmont Rd, Bogert Rd, Oak Ln, Gathering Rd, Konner Ave, Walnut Dr, Stiles Ln, Crescent Rd, Parkway Dr, Sheffield St, Normandy Rd, Lancaster Ave, Buckingham Cir, Leeds Ave, Manchester Way, Lisa Pl, Collard Ln, and Changebridge Rd.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.
