Mosquito spraying set for Thursday night in 3 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Due to an increase in adult mosquito populations, the Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in a section of Long Hill Township, Florham Park Borough, and Chatham Township Thursday night

The mosquito spraying will go on from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • Long Hill Township: – All streets within the township.

Rain date for the following:

  • Florham Park: Passaic Ave,  Stirling Dr, Schindler Dr, Sun Valley Way, Darling Dr, Rutgers St, N. Hillside Ave, Longley Lane, Elm St, Municipal Complex, Quail Run, Partridge Ln, Pheasant Way, Farr Ln, Murphy Circle, Townsend Dr, Kenwood Ln, Old Mill Rd, Hancock Dr, Woodbine Rd, Puddingstone Way, Rustic Ct, and Timber Ct.
  • Chatham Twp: Rutgers Street, and North Hillside Avenue.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B
