Motorcyclist airlifted after crash with deer in Sussex County

WANTAGE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A motorcyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a crash with a deer Friday night, according to New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez.

It happened at 8:41 p.m. on County Route 519 in the area of Rutgers Road in Wantage Township, Goez said.

A 59-year-old Montague Township man was travelling northbound on a Honda motorcycle when he collided with a deer, Goez said.

He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, Goez said.
