Motorcyclist flown to hospital after crash in Sussex County

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A motorcyclist was flown to the hospital following a crash in Sussex County Monday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Philip Curry said.

The crash occurred at 11:23 a.m. on Route 23 northbound at milepost 48.9 in Montague Township, Curry said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that Mazda and a motorcycle were involved in a crash, Curry said.

The motorcyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital for precautionary purposes, Curry said.

No further information was available.
